La Real Academia Española define la procrastinación como el hecho de diferir o aplazar una actividad. En ese sentido, la procrastinación constituye una actividad normal que suele ser habitual en todos los seres humanos: aplazar una tarea que no nos gusta ejecutar, diferir hasta la última instancia la elaboración de los trabajos académicos, dejar para luego una actividad que tenemos pendientes. Sin embargo, esto puede derivar en una patología cuando genera incomodidad en el sujeto.
La procrastinación: hacia una contextualización del tema
El investigador Díaz-Morales (2019) plantea que la procrastinación constituye una tendencia generalizada a través de la cual suele aplazarse el inicio o finalización de las actividades planificadas previamente para ser terminadas en un lapso establecido.
